EDMR and TRAUMA HEALING

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach form of psychotherapy that focuses on healing individuals from trauma, emotional distress, anxiety, or symptoms that have resulted after a disturbing life experience.

BREATHWORK/MEDITATION

While we take our first breath within seconds of coming into the world, most of us don't fully optimize this natural bodily function. Breath work practice improves overall wellness - from mental health benefits to cellular function. You will learn various styles of breathing to control the rate, rhythm and depth as a relaxation technique.

Meditation has endless benefits. It increases focus, reduces anxiety, and promotes greater emotional well-being. You will be guided through various meditations using imagery for emotional healing.

CLIENT CENTERED THERAPY

Is a non-directive form of talk therapy in which the client explores their self-actualizing tendency and is supported in fulfilling their potential. The therapist acts as an equal partner from an unconditional and non -judgmental point of view.

CBT & DBT

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on exploring relationships among a person's thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Clients will explore and uncover unhealthy patterns of thinking and how they may be causing self-destructive behaviors and beliefs.

Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT) helps a person find balance between acceptance and change. DBT therapy helps a person develop new skills, like coping methods and mindfulness practices, so that the person has the power to improve unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.

Adolescents/Young Adults/Children

Are you concerned that your child may be struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, poor academic performance, gender identity issues, or lack of motivation? It is not easy to be a teen or young adult these days, and most don’t have someone they can talk to objectively. When it comes to being a parent, it’s only natural to try and steer your child in a particular direction. In addition to parental support, teens benefit from talking with someone they can confide in—someone who will sit with them amid the messiness of their lives without telling them what they should or need to do. In fact, sometimes teens don’t even know how they feel. They just know that something is off, yet they’re unable to put all the pieces together themselves and make sense of it.

Counseling for teens offers a safe, non-combative environment where kids can dig deeper, process their concerns, and be honest about what they feel and need.

Learn techniques for reduced stress, enhanced relationships & better overall health. Techniques include creative imagery, pranayama training (breathwork), progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, mindful eating and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills. Learn how to stimulate your vagus nerve for better mental health.
